Most people know Best Thai Recipe For Shrimp Basil a common dish in most Thai restaurants, but I also enjoy shrimp basil made in the same way as Thai chicken basil but subtitling the chicken for shrimp. This Thai recipe is one of the Bald Chef’s favorites. This tasty Thailand dish is made with large fresh shrimp. The spice of the garlic, basil, and Thai peppers make this Thai shrimp recipe one of a kind!

Instructions On How To Make Thai Shrimp Basil

Place 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok and bring to high heat add 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped garlic and 6 Thai peppers, stir fry for 1 minute and add 1/4 sliced onion, 1 pound of large fresh shrimp. Fry the mixture until shrimp is done add a 1/4 bunch of fresh Thai basil leafs, 1/2 tablespoons of black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of fish sauce (3 Crab Brand) served over fresh Thai rice. This is a very nice dinner From Thailand. Som Tum Thai Salad Recipe

Som Tum is traditionally made using a mortar and pestle. Som Tum is a great salad recipe from North Eastern Thailand. If you don’t have a large mortar and pestle, mince the Thai chili and garlic and combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl by hand. Look out Som Tum Thai Salad Recipe Thai green papaya salad is spicy, and if you use enough Prik Kee Noo Thai peppers it might just get right down hot. Som Tum is an easy recipe to make and it goes well with sticky rice, and Thai fried chicken. You can make this Thai salad a little spicy or go all the way and make it Thai hot by adding more Prik Kee Noo Thai peppers.

These are the ingredients that you will need:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh mint leaf chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons dryed rice powder (Khao Khua)
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce (Three Crab Nam Pla)
  • 2 Limes squeezed for juice
  • 2 tablespoons of Vegtable oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons of Cilantro, chopped fine
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon of dried Thai red ground chili powder

Cooking Instructions For Making Thai Larb Gai

In a Wok bring to high heat and add the 2 tablespoons of vegtable oil, 1 pound ground chicken, 2 tablespoons garlic and the 1 Red Onion, sliced thin. Brown the ground chicken until it is completely cooked, drain off any residual oil. Add the2 tablespoons of fresh mint leaf chopped fine, 2 tablespoons dryed rice powder (Khao Khua), 2 tablespoons fish sauce (Three Crab Nam Pla), and the 3 1/2 tablespoons of Cilantro, chopped fine. Stir the chicken mixture and add to taste your Thai red ground chili powder . Add the the juice of 2 limes and set aside the Larb Gai until it is room temperature, this will allow the rice powder to soften and all the flavors to infuse into the chicken. this recipe can be served as a standalone this plated on a lettuce leaf or with white Rice.

When I was in Thailand this Thai fried Flounder smothered in a Thai basil and chili sauce was what I would crave! It’s an easy recipe and The Bald Chef shows you how to fry this fish with a spicy sauce. This great recipe from Thailand should be cooked with freshest Flounder you can buy, or catch. The Flounder is cut in a way so that after it has been fried it is ready to be smothered with a sauce made with Thai hot peppers, basil, onion, a bell pepper to make a recipe that can out do your local Thai restaurant!

 

Ingredients For Making Thai Fried Flounder With Basil And Chili Sauce

To Cook This Clasic Fried Thai Flounder recipe you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pound Fresh Flounder
  • 1/4 cup flour for dusting the Flounder
  • 1/2 cup of cooking oil
  • 1 green onion cut thin
  • 1/4 cup Thai basil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons of Thai fish sauce
  • 7 hot Thai peppers prik khee nu
  • 2 tablespoon of prepared tamarack sauce from Thailand
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch and 1/3 cup water

Cooking Instructions Thai Fried Flounder With Basil And Chili Sauce Recipe

Cut the Flounder with slits on both sides of the fish, and then coat with flour for dusting the Flounder. In a wok on high heat add 1/2 cup of cooking oil and place 1 1/2 pound Fresh Flounder dusted with 1/4 cup flour cook on one side for 6 minutes. Remove the Flounder from the cooking oil and place aside on paper towels. The next step in this recipe is to pre pare the basil and Thai chili sauce. In you wok on high heat add 2 tablespoons of of cooking oil and bring up to high heat. The next step is to add 2 tablespoons garlic minced, 1 green onion cut thin, 1/4 cup Thai basil and 7 hot Thai peppers prik khee nu cut into small slices stir fry the mixture for 1/2 Min. Add 2 tablespoon of prepared tamrac sauce, and 2 tablespoons of Thai fish sauce. the final step is to mix the 2 tablespoons of corn starch and 1/3 cup water and add to the sauce. Pour the basil and Thai chili sauce onto the Flounder and serve with rice.
