- 1 pound Green Thai Papaya grated
- 4 Prik Kee Noo Thai Peppers.
- 3 small clove of Garlic.
- 2 strings long Beans (cut into 1 inch lengths)
- 2 tablespoon chopped roasted Peanuts
- 2 whole Tomato (crushed)
- 1 Tablespoons chopped dried Shrimp
- 3 Tablespoons Lime juice
- 4 Tablespoons of dried Shrimp.
- 3 tablespoons Fish Sauce (Nam Pla).
- 1 Tablespoon Thai Shrimp Paste

These are The Bald Chef’s Instructions to make real Thai Som Tom. Start out with a large mortar and pestle and add the 3 small clove of garlic,2 tablespoon chopped roasted peanuts, 4 Prik Kee Noo Thai peppers. Beat the ingredients into a paste using the mortar and pestle. Add the lime, and 3 tablespoons fish sauce (Nam Pla)to the pepper paste and mix. Add the 1 pound green Thai papaya grated, 2 strings long bean (cut into 1 inch lengths),1 tomato cut thin, 1 Tablespoon of Dried Shrimp. Mix all ingredients to make a real Som Tum Thai salad.
