The bald Chef prefers to use breast sections of the Chicken for his recipe. In the South of Italy Red Wine is often used to cook this recipe, but up North White wine is often used. I prefer the Northern version of Chicken Cacciatore.

  • 1 1/2 pounds Chicken Breast
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1/2 Green Pepper
  • 1 Onion
  • Fresh Basil
  • 4 pealed Italian Plum Tomatoes
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • 4 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Crushed Red Pepper
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 8 oz. can Tomato Sauce
  • 16 oz.. Button Mushrooms
  • 16 oz.. fresh Egg Linguine

Cooking Instructions For Italian Chicken Cacciatore Recipe

This is The Bald Chef’s recipe Italian Chicken Cacciatore Recipe. To cook this Chicken Cacciatore recipe start out by placing a fry pan on the stove on medium high heat. Add 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil, and coat your Chicken breasts with salt, pepper and flour. Place the breaded chicken breasts in the hot oil and brown on both sides. Add 1 Onion, 1/2 Green Pepper, 4 cloves of Garlic,1 oz.. Button Mushrooms, all cut up thin. Reduce heat add the 4 pealed Italian Plum Tomatoes cut up, 8 oz can Tomato Sauce and the 1 Tablespoon Italian Crushed Red Pepper. Mix the ingredients and add 1 cup of white wine. Let the Chicken Cacciatore cook uncovered for 30 minutes on medium heat. After the Chicken is cooked chop up a hand full of fresh Basil and add to the sauce and cook for 5 more minutes, Prepare the 16 oz.. fresh Egg Linguine, and plate with the Chicken Cacciatore and serve with cheese.
